Gary Steele

gary steele1. How does your role at Restore Hope help churches on mission?

As treasurer of the Board of Directors, I feel we help churches and other organizations by giving them guidance financially, as well as practically on how church-based sending can work in their unique situation.

2. What qualifies you to play the role you play for Restore Hope?

As a businessman who started my own business in 1996, I have faced many of the same issues that some of the churches have in planning, organizing, and executing their plan in order to accomplish their goals.

3. If you have another job besides Restore Hope, what is your title and what do you do?

Currently, I am the president of Payroll Partners. This is a company which provides payroll services for over 400 companies all over the U.S. About one-third of our business is providing payroll and other services to churches and non-profits. I feel GOD has placed me in this position and gifted me to help businesses and especially churches better handle their legal, technical, and practical responsibilities when it comes to their payroll and their employees.

4. What do you like to do in your spare time?

My wife and I really enjoy going to some property we have in East Texas where we can relax and enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of East Texas.

5. What is your favorite missions quote?

My favorite missions quote is by Winfred Moore. When asked how you become a great missions church as his church was, he replied, “You start 50 years ago.” This reminds me that our labor may not seem like we are doing much now, but GOD can and will honor our efforts and bless them in a great way if we are faithful, so many years from now, others may be the harvesters of the seeds we plant today for the glory of GOD.
