Emergency Relief Fund

Disasters of all kinds may strike in the areas where we work. Whether they are natural disasters or political conflicts, they have the potential to cause sudden death, destruction, and suffering. Within the past few years, our ministries have experienced a tsunami spreading nuclear radiation in Japan, devastating famine in Niger, the world’s worst cholera and Ebola virus epidemics in Sierra Leone, a damaging flood in Nicaragua, a massive landslide in Ethiopia and Sierra Leone and now Hurricane Harvey hits Texas with unprecedented floodwaters.

South Texas continues to be pounded by the water and wind of Hurricane Harvey.  Homes, businesses and properties are covered by floodwaters and thousands are displaced.  You can provide aid and assistance to flood victims through Restore Hope’s Emergency Relief Fund.

When disaster strikes, Restore Hope mobilizes its staff, volunteers and a network of partner organizations and churches to swiftly respond, provide relief, and work toward recovery. It is a beautiful sight to see a wide array of partners join together to help people survive and rebuild after enduring a large-scale event. In such cases, we marshal resources, coordinate community-level responders, and target acute needs while offering prayer and spiritual counsel whenever possible.

What are the people of God to do in the midst of such chaos? What is the church’s responsibility?

In Matthew 25, Jesus proclaims, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” This is a call to action. We ask you to partner with us in serving the least of these in Texas.

In response to the current crisis, Restore Hope is partnering with local organizations and volunteers ministering in the South Texas area to bring hope and relief. Your donation today will help provide relief in forms of food, clothing, toiletries, life essentials and the mobilization of tools and equipment for home preservation/repair.
